About

A fresh take on therapy services.

Here, we believe your pain is real. We also believe that where you are today doesn’t have to be where you are forever. Named for the gemstone symbolizing calm, self-expression, good health, and the mind-body connection, Sapphire Health Psychology focuses on helping each patient improve the connections within. We’ll explore how thoughts, feelings, beliefs, environments, and relationships can trigger a physical, visceral response. Together, we’ll find the patterns of thinking that are standing in your way of living fully. And together, we’ll uncover the roots of your pain – and change your body’s response.

Meet Dr. Erin Taylor

Dr. Erin Taylor has been a practicing psychologist in Charlotte since 2005. Dr. Taylor holds a doctorate in clinical health psychology and focused her graduate coursework, clinical experience, and research on the interplay of emotions, physiology, and behavior. After working in group practice settings for 17 years, she decided in 2022 to transition into private practice, forming Sapphire Health Psychology. Here, Dr. Taylor is able to focus fully on her clinical interests: psychophysiological disorders and chronic pain, cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT) for weight management, coping with serious (acute and prolonged) illness.

“My education, clinical training, and experience with my own personal health journey have led me to this point. I created Sapphire Health Psychology to share new ways of looking at persistent health challenges, and to provide hope for patients who might fear they are beyond help – because no one is beyond help. My work is so fulfilling, because I get to help patients rewire their brains, uncover the roots of their pain, and change the way their bodies respond to it.”
