Serious Medical Conditions

Live fully.

Whether your diagnosis is fresh or you’ve been living with it for years, coping with a serious illness can take its toll. Keeping up with a regimen of medications, nutrition, and healthcare appointments on top of family and career obligations can be quite draining – physically, mentally and emotionally. And while you may feel there’s no time or energy left for anything else, self-care is paramount: Tending to your own emotional needs, prioritizing activities that bring you joy, and remembering that you were YOU long before your diagnosis.

As they say, you’re no good to anyone else if you don’t take care of yourself. There’s so much truth to this! Together, we will find ways to help you come to terms with your diagnosis and adjust to the daily challenges of a care regimen. We will determine ways to maintain healthy habits and attitudes toward your own self-care. We will find ways to effectively communicate your needs to family, friends and healthcare providers. You are more than your diagnosis. Resilience can be learned, and peace and contentment are possible.

Patient appointments offered Monday through Wednesday 8:30am to 5pm and Thursday 8:30am to 2:30pm.
